SLAMMER MUSEUM MURAL

STOREY COUNTY, NEVADA COURTHOUSE

mural collaboration with Virginia City artist, friend and mural partner, Corrie Zam-Northan, Firehorse Studios

This project was a commission by Storey County to add a mural to the areas above the museum cases and behind the podium area. The mural is massive, was a challenge to access safely and absolutely fabulous to be able to complete. This is located in a historical landmark building in a space that was formerly a jail with metal walls. Now it is a free historical museum of Storey County and a great space.

General areas of work by me: back and mid-ground, horses, mountains, petraglyphs, mining and railroad details

General areas by Corrie: foreground, plants, rocks, animals and tree

COMSTOCK MURAL

A collaboration located on C-Street in the Bucket of Blood parking lot, just below Piper's Opera House. It is painted by a local volunteer group of artists, conceived and spearheaded by Corrie Zam-Northan (see the link to her website on my "links" page).

Everything in sepia tones are from the past that are no longer with us, while color represents things that are still with us today. It is a beautiful concept and visual trip down memory lane.

This has been a labor of love and devotion for approximately two years, with a goal to finish this particular wall in 2016. While it is collaborative and all credits cannot clearly be defined for each brush stroke, we each have particular areas of focus and responsibility. Credits are given below each image.
